The One22 Resource Center has launched a childcare assistance pilot program through May 31st.
The center explains that reliable childcare is a foundation for working families in our region and that childcare typically comes with high costs when most take-home pay is already going to rent and mortgage payments.
One22 hopes this program will allow parents from low to moderate-income households to stay at work. The outcomes of the pilot program will be reviewed in June.
Moving into summer, many parents’ minds turn toward summer camps and programs this time of the year. These are essential for working parents and allow children to learn, create, explore and connect to others.
