No government shutdown

The Federal Government and its agencies will be open for business as usual today, including our national parks, and continuing for at least a month. Congress passed legislation that would avoid a partial federal shutdown and keep the government funded through December 3rd, and sent the bill to President Joe Biden. The back-to-back votes by the Senate and then the House will help avert a shutdown for now, but just delay another as the political parties dig in on a dispute over how to raise the government’s borrowing cap before the United States risks a potentially catastrophic default. The Democrats and Republicans don’t see eye to eye on just how high that cap should be.
