Investigation continues into apartment fire

The cause of Sunday’s fire which heavily damaged one unit of the Blair Apartments remains a puzzle, and Teton County Fire Marshal Kathy Clay is seeking the public’s help in reporting anything out of the ordinary they may have seen prior to its ignition.

Clay says, “We are still missing a few pieces of the puzzle and hope that someone might have heard or seen something before the fire started.” She asks that anyone who might have any information, photos, or videos of events that occurred in the area of Blair Place Apartments Building 245 around the start of the fire to please send them to blairfire@tetoncountywy.gov.

The fire, which started about 10:30 am, was contained to the third floor and roof, causing fire damage to two apartments. Other units on the first and second floors experienced water damage. All residents were able to evacuate without injury and several pets were able to be evacuated as well.
