St John’s urges vaccinations for staff

St. John’s Health Wins

The head of St John’s Health has asked his hospital staff to get vaccinated and not quit their jobs over an impending vaccine mandate deadline coming in December.

In a letter to employees last week St. John’s health CEO David Robertson stated, “It is my sincere desire for us to not see anyone leave St. Johns team as a result of this nationally mandated program. Our community is counting on us.”

An estimated 140 employees of Saint Johns are unvaccinated -that’s approximately 17% of the hospital’s total workforce.

Robertson continued to express support for lifesaving pandemic precautions and is personally very strongly committed to the value and efficacy of vaccines.

Robertson said the Centers for Medical and Medicaid Services require healthcare workers nationwide to receive their first vaccine dose by December 5th and complete the series by January 4th
