Airport working on TSA checkpoint

The Jackson Hole Airport is to begin construction on a new Transportation Security Administration’s Checkpoint January 3rd, and airport users will start moving through a temporary checkpoint on January 18th.

On January 18th and 19th, the temporary checkpoint will only have two screening lanes while additional screening equipment is being set into place to accommodate three screening lanes.

The three lanes will be in place beginning January 20th and will continue for the duration of the TSA Checkpoint project. The TSA Security Screening Checkpoint is in the oldest part of the terminal building at the airport. The remodel will facilitate new security screening technology.

Part of the construction will also impact the hold-room, where passengers wait to board planes, to create additional seating and flexible free-standing space for travelers. Both projects are targeted to be completed by June 27 of 2022 to coincide with the runway re-opening.
