At long last, the White Pine Ski Area is under contract. A local resort owner made the offer that was accepted, and is now subject to the US Forest Service agreeing to transfer the permit of operation.
According to an article this week in the Pinedale Roundup, Audrey and Kyle Odermann, owners of Lakeside Lodge on the southern tip of Fremont Lake north of Pinedale, see the acquisition as a natural extension of their business strategy to provide recreational opportunities in that area.
Currently, a new ski lodge building is under construction after the main lodge burned down in July of 2019. It is anticipated for completion in the spring, prior to the targeted closing of the ski area sale. While the ski area had been listed at $1.4-million dollars, the terms of the final sale were not disclosed.
