Montana wildlife authorities say they will not try to track down a grizzly bear suspected in the fatal mauling of a 40-year-old antler hunter Friday. They say there are no signs that it was a predatory attack, but probably was a chance encounter.

Craig Clouatre’s body of was found Friday in densely forested mountains north of Yellowstone National Park. The Livingston father of four had been the subject of two days of searching after he failed to return to a car Wednesday evening that he and a friend had taken to the trailhead.
