The individual who robbed the Phillips 66 station in Driggs at gunpoint Thursday remains at large. Driggs Mayor August Christensen encourages residents and visitors to use common sense in securing personal property, and he urges anyone with any information about the robber to contact the Teton County, Idaho Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Mitch Golden commented that Teton County and the City of Driggs while statistically are very safe places to reside are not immune to crime. He adds, “Just because we’re isolated geographically doesn’t mean that we’re immune to crime.” Golden says if any residents or business owners in the Driggs area have security cameras, they are encouraged to review any recordings from Thursday night.
If any suspicious activity or persons were recorded, contact the Sheriff’s Office at (208) 354-2323.
