Wyoming legislature wraps up session

The 2022 Wyoming Budget Session is slated to end today. Teton County Representative Mike Yin says overall, the session produced some good bills and some troubling bills. One of the good things, Yin says, lawmakers addressed raises for state employees.

“We passed a county optional property tax refund program, so I look forward to seeing if our county commission will work on that – I need to talk to them about that. So that was good. You know I think a lot of things that were ultimately harmful to small populations ended up not happening. And we gave a little bit of a raise to state employees.”

Yin says the subject of workforce housing was broached and will likely be addressed in a future session.
