Yellowstone was not the only area impacted by a weather event last Sunday. The Grizzly Lake Trail and Blue Miner Lake Trail in the Gros Ventre area of Bridger Teton National Forest had a massive blowdown event and roads are currently impassable past West Miner Creek.
Forest Spokesperson Mary Cernicek says Bridger-Teton National Forest crews will start work next week to clear through the hundreds of downed trees, but it will most likely take a week or so to get through.
In the meantime, Crystal Creek Campground along the Gros Ventre Road and at least one trail in the area are temporally closed until the downed trees can be cleared.
