It was the end of the line for the boys and girls basketball teams last weekend as the Broncs were bounced from the 4A West Regional Basketball Tournament in Evanston. The Lady Broncs gave Kelly Walsh a bit of a scare before dropping their opening round game 50-38 to the Lady Trojans. The season came to an end the following the morning when the Jackson girls came up short against a scrappy Riverton team, 47-40. The Lady Broncs finished the season 2-20 under first year head coach Jason Huggins. The numbers don’t show it, but these girls played the hearts out each and every night. The boys faced a tough matchup against top-seeded Kelly Walsh, losing that one 69-32. In the consolation round, the Broncs were on the wrong end of a lopsided affair against the Evanston Red Devils; 60-18 was the final score there. The Broncs finished their season winless in 22 games, but they always picked themselves up and showed up for head coach Sam Lunz.
