Youth Elk Hunts: Increased Chances
The Refuge, in partnership with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, is offering two 2-day Youth Elk Hunts in November. These will be held over the Thanksgiving weekend. An additional draw for youth hunters will be available from November 17-19.
New Rules for 2023
The Refuge has introduced a daily elk tag limit for the 2023 season to enhance safety and reduce enforcement issues.
Change in Reservation Process for Disabled Hunter Parking Permits
Reservations for the Refuge’s disabled hunter parking permits are now handled by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Jackson Office at 420 North Cache Street, Jackson, WY.
Hunting Permit Review: A New System
The Refuge is implementing a Hunting Permit Review to address violations. This might disqualify some from receiving a Refuge Hunting Permit, but won’t impact their Wyoming elk licenses.
