The Teton County Board of Commissioners met for the first time since swearing in its new members yesterday, and the first order of business was to arrange its leadership for the coming year. Natalia Macker was appointed Commission Chair and Greg Epstein was appointed Vice Chair — but the action, however did not come without an inevitable slip-up as outgoing chairman Mark Newcomb acknowledged Mark Barron’s motion, calling him “Mayor Barron.” Commissioner Mark Barron had served as Jackson’s Mayor for 12 years before running for County Commissioner. Along with Barron, the board of commissioners seated Luther Propst as its second new commissioner while Mark Newcomb returned for another term.
