The Pinedale resident who died in structure fire last week positively identified now. During autopsy following the fire, the victim was positively identified as 67-year-old James Tipton. The cause of death however has not yet been determined. On July 10th, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, Sublette County Unified Fire, Sublette County EMS and Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to a structure fire in Pinedale. Upon arrival one occupant was out of the home the other was reported to still be inside. When rescue crews reached the individual through the blaze in the home, he had already diedand could not be positively identified at that time. The second occupant, Tricia Gunderson had been able to exit the home and was initially taken to the Pinedale Medical and then life flighted to EIRMAC for further treatment. She was anticipated be released from the hospital this week. The fire is still under investigation.
