Hunters and fishermen in Wyoming will be facing a surcharge for their purchases beginning next year. As of next week, all Wyoming Game and Fish Department credit card transactions will be charged a 2.5% processing fee on the total purchase. The fee applies to applications, licenses, stamps and purchases made through Game and Fish online or at the Headquarters and regional offices. The additional charge also includes purchases made from the Game and Fish gift shop. The Game and Fish Commission explains that the new, non-refundable processing fee was approved by the Game and Fish Commission in July to offset credit card processing costs, and was instituted after reviewing several options and hearing input from the public.
