Traffic in downtown Jackson was disrupted briefly yesterday after a sizable gasoline spill was being cleaned up. A flatbed pickup carrying a 55-gallon drum of gasoline turned the corner from Cache onto Deloney and lost the barrel. Almost all 55 gallons spilled onto the street and began running down the gutter. Jackson Hole Fire/EMS responded and spread absorbent to clean up the fuel spill. During the incident, traffic was diverted from Cache to Glenwood. Traffic was also rerouted elsewhere in the county when the Swinging Bridge south of town was closed for maintenance. Teton County Road and Levee crews will be working there for the remainder of this week.
