The Upper Snake River Basin Local Sage Grouse Working Group will hold a meeting in Jackson on November 22 to discuss sage grouse conservation projects and monitoring plans for the area. The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Jackson Regional Office, located at 420 N. Cache St.
This working group, one of eight across Wyoming, is composed of community members representing a range of interests in sage grouse conservation and land management. The Wyoming Sage Grouse Conservation Fund, managed by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, provides funding for projects supporting sage grouse research and conservation, with grant applications currently being accepted for the Upper Snake River Basin area. Applications are due by January 1, 2025, and can be found on the Game and Fish Sage Grouse Local Working Groups webpage.
