Conservation Officers with Idaho Fish and Game are asking for information about a moose calf that was found dead in the middle of the Fish Creek Road near Kelly Canyon in Idaho on Wednesday.
The calf likely died earlier that morning or late the night prior and Fish and Game officials said it had a broken shoulder and was also shot several times.
Officers said It is possible that the moose was struck by a vehicle and then legally dispatched. If that was the case, they would still like to hear from those involved so that they can rule out poaching.
Idaho Fish and Game is asking anyone with information about this incident to call (208) 220-9073, or by calling the 1-800-632-5999.
