Lower Valley Energy says the power outage on Sunday was by an underground feeder on Gros Ventre Street.
That caused some issues with the controls in the transformer in the substation and affected electric service in a large part of Jackson.
Lower Valley Energy crews worked all day Sunday and all-night Sunday night switching loads to other feeders.
Service began being restored in the afternoon, but some sections were very difficult because of the power loads encountered when reenergizing the system. The all-day outage was finally restored at 4am Monday morning.
Crews will be at work over the next several days to dig through the frozen ground and get the feeder repaired and restore the normal transformer loads.
