New COVID-19 Booster arrives in Teton County

September 10, 2022 by Jackson Hole Radio

4th COVID shot authorized

The FDA has now authorized the emergency use of the updated COVID-19 boosters from Pfizer and Moderna.
The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized as a single booster dose for individuals 12 and older, while the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized as a single dose booster for individuals 18 and older.
These updated boosters are designated to target both the original strain of COVID-19 and Omicron strains.
Individuals are eligible for the updated COVID-19 booster if it has been two months since their most recent booster dose or since they have completed their primary series of the original COVID-19 vaccine.
To receive the updated booster each person must have completed a primary series of a COVID-19 vaccine
The Teton County Health Department will be holding COVID-19 vaccine clinics at our office located at 460 E. Pearl Ave. for individuals 12 and older on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
They will also hold a monthly Saturday clinic on Saturday, September 24, at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole located at 1251 S. Park Loop Rd.
