The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department announced on April 24, 2025, that the Recreation Center’s lap pool will remain closed for at least four to six weeks while awaiting the delivery and installation of a replacement pump. Contractors conducted a thorough evaluation of the pool’s pump room this week and, after exploring multiple options with staff, determined that a full pump replacement is the most effective solution. The specialized pump and parts, tailored to the facility’s existing plumbing, are expected to take four to six weeks to arrive, with additional time required for installation.
The department acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the extended closure and reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe, clean, and functional lap pool for the community. Staff will share updates on the shipment and installation timeline as soon as they become available.
