Stilson Transit Center Construction Underway in Teton County

May 10, 2025 by Scott Anderson

Overview of the Stilson Transit Center Project

Teton County has begun construction on the Stilson Transit Center, a regional mobility hub at the northwest corner of Highway 22 and Highway 390. This project aims to improve Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit Bus service, reduce traffic on the West Bank, and support sustainable transportation for residents and visitors. The center will feature a 2,900-square-foot transit building, a 400-space park-and-ride lot, electric vehicle charging stations, covered bicycle parking, and a transit priority signal at Highway 390.

Wilson Boat Ramp Parking Access During Construction

For those using the Stilson lot as overflow parking for the Wilson boat ramp, Teton County ensures parking remains available throughout construction. Designated parking areas, marked with clear signage, will shift as the project progresses through various phases. Visitors are encouraged to follow signs to locate open spaces. “We are committed to minimizing disruptions for boat ramp users,” said a Teton County representative.

Community Resources and Updates

To keep residents informed, Teton County provides construction updates and parking details on its official website and at the project site. The Teton Mobility Corridor Improvements BUILD Grant Project website offers detailed renderings and timelines. An informational session is scheduled at the Teton County Administration Building on June 12th, hosted by Teton County Public Works, to discuss the project and address parking concerns.

How to Stay Informed

Residents can attend the June 12th session or visit Teton County’s website for more details. For specific inquiries about Wilson boat ramp access, contact the Teton County Public Works Department. The Stilson Transit Center represents a significant investment in Teton County’s transportation infrastructure, ensuring accessibility and sustainability.
