JACKSON, WY – In a celebration of fly fishing, conservation, and storytelling, “Tension” has been named the winner of the 2024 International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4). Directed by Hilton Graham and Lucas Krost, this film delves into the legacy of fly fishing through the narrative of a young guide and her grandfather, set against the backdrop of the Jackson Hole One Fly Tournament.
“Tension” captures the essence of multi-generational bonds and the commitment to environmental stewardship, resonating with fans of the sport worldwide. John Holland, President of the Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation (JHOFF), expressed immense pride in the film’s success, stating, “We are proud of our event and the bonds it creates with our riparian ecosystems and those who love the sport of fly fishing.”
The 2025 IF4 is scheduled for January 24, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Center for the Arts Theater in Jackson, offering another opportunity for the fly-fishing community to come together. Tickets for this event can be secured via jhcenterforthearts.org/event/fly-fishing-film-festival.
This year’s festival will also feature a diverse selection of films:

The JHOFF, established in 1986, organizes the renowned “One Fly” tournament each September, where competitors must use only one fly throughout the competition. This event, held in the scenic Snake River area, has raised over $25 million for conservation projects, particularly for the native cutthroat trout.
