The financial study group, SmartAsset conducted a survey to find the most paycheck-friendly places in the country, where a wage-earner’s paycheck goes farther. Teton County ranked quite high in Wyoming. The group considered factors such as the average paycheck amount, what that will buy and how much can be saved. Based on a semi-monthly paycheck of $1742, Teton County ranked second in the state with a score of 87.2 out of 100. Crook County was ranked number one with a score of 87.9. Nationally, Teton County came in 21st. To come up with the ranking, the study considered four different factors: the semi-monthly paycheck, purchasing power, unemployment rate and income growth. With no state income tax, Wyoming shows up in a very favorable light.
