The Teton County Board of County Commissioners have written a letter in support of Teton Village Association’s application for a Federal Transit Administration’s Low or No Emission Grant to buy four electric buses and charging equipment to be used on the Teton Village circulator shuttle route.
Commissioners noted that TVA’s move towards an electric bus fleet offers an opportunity to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions and showcase the use of electric vehicles in a mountainous, cold climate to millions of visitors each year.
They say the zero-emission transit buses support the community’s goals to reduce greenhouse gases.
