13th Meeting on the RV Park Housing Project
At their upcoming meeting, the Jackson Town Council and the Teton County Board of Commissioners will review the proposed terms for a ground lease with Pennrose, LLC, to advance the affordable workforce housing project at 90 Virginian Lane. This is the 13th meeting on the development, with the goal of addressing local housing needs in line with the Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan and Housing Action Plan.
Planners say that the project at 90 Virginian Lane is part of a broader strategy to create more affordable housing in Jackson. The project had aimed to offer about 200 permanently deed-restricted units for local workers. Officials say that the development is aligned with the Comprehensive Plan’s goal of housing at least 65% of the workforce locally and hoping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by placing homes near employment centers and public transportation.
The ground lease terms will be finalized and presented for consideration at the November Joint Meeting, with a final development agreement expected in December. The terms include a 99-year lease, affordable housing requirements, and sustainability goals.
