Weather has just not been cooperating with street crews who are resurfacing east Pearl Avenue and South King Street. Work there is expected to resume today with the intent of finishing the project by Friday. That work is taking place from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm and will require some rerouting of traffic. Pedestrian traffic will be able to continue through the work area. Should the project be delayed further, Jackson’s Associate Engineer Rachelle Rhodes says no construction will take place over the holiday weekend.
