EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Secretary of Veterans Affairs Dennis McDonough will be attending WGA’s 2023 Annual Meeting in Boulder, Colorado, from June 26-28. They will join nine Western Governors, including WGA’s Chair, Colorado Governor Jared Polis, and Vice Chair, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon. The meeting will feature discussions on public policy, a keynote address on artificial intelligence by Ashley Llorens from Microsoft, and a roundtable on geothermal energy with David Turk from the Department of Energy. The Western Governors’ Foundation recently announced the state winners of the eighth annual Celebrate the West regional art competition. Selected by a panel of art experts from around the West, state winners will receive $200 and compete for First ($1,500), Second ($750), and Third Place ($500) Awards at the regional level. The regional winner’s artwork will also be displayed at WGA’s 2023 Annual Meeting in Boulder, Colorado. The Western Governors’ Foundation will also hand out a People’s Choice Award based on a vote of the public. Vote on the WGA website to choose your favorite!
