Widespread Panic has announced the release of their second studio album of 2024, Hailbound Queen, which will be available on November 8th. This release follows closely after Snake Oil King, the band’s first new album since 2015’s Street Dogs. The band is premiering the music on KMTN Radio in Jackson Hole
Hailbound Queen will be available on both vinyl and digital platforms, with a special pylon orange vinyl edition available at local record stores. The album features several tracks that fans may already recognize from the band’s live performances, including “Halloween Face” and a cover of Bloodkin’s “Trashy.” The latter will premiere on KMTN radio in Jackson, WY, this Friday during Fish’s Morning Show at 8:15 a.m. MT. The station will also replay the track throughout the Labor Day weekend.
The album also includes “Blue Carousel,” a song completed by JoJo Hermann that was originally left unfinished by late guitarist Michael Houser, and two tracks debuted at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last year: “King Baby” and Warren Zevon’s “Keep Me In Your Heart.”
In recent news, Widespread Panic had to cancel all upcoming shows after guitarist Jimmy Herring was diagnosed with stage one tonsil cancer. Fans can stay updated on the band’s activities and get more details about Hailbound Queen by visiting their website.
