The Town of Jackson announced that a spring patching project on Willow Street will begin April 30, involving the replacement of settling gutter pans at five intersections with Karns, Kelly, and Snow King Avenues. The project will restrict access from Willow Street to frontages, alleys, and parking during demolition and construction, with closures potentially lasting three weeks. Pedestrian access will remain open, and detours will guide cars and bikes. Following the gutter pan replacements, Willow Street will close between Simpson and Snow King Avenues for additional patching and paving to address winter damage.
Starting May 12, the Town will expand its patching efforts, milling and repaving approximately 50,000 square feet of roads, including Snow King Avenue from Millward Street to Flat Creek Drive, two alleys off Redmond between Kelly, Hall, and Hansen Avenues, and various other locations. Snow King Avenue will face a two-day closure around May 13, weather permitting, with rolling lane closures elsewhere through May 23. The Streets Crew, repairing over 300 potholes annually, relies on warmer weather to ensure durable pavement, as freeze-thaw cycles hinder effective repairs. Active traffic flaggers and signage will manage detours. For questions, contact [email protected] or call 307-733-3079.
