The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) introduced its “Let’s Talk Wyoming” safety moment video series on March 20th to address substance use and mental health in workplaces across the state. The short, free videos, available at LetsTalkWY.org on the WDH website, aim to spark discussions and promote health and safety among Wyoming workers.
Rachel Nuss, Community Prevention Unit manager at WDH, explained that the series provides concise, practical information to improve workplace well-being. Wyoming faces one of the nation’s highest suicide rates, and heavy industry workers often show elevated substance use, prompting WDH to collaborate with industry leaders on this initiative. The videos target daily safety impacts and encourage healthy choices.
Each video offers brief insights on topics ranging from substance use to personal wellness, designed for easy sharing and community outreach. The resource supports organizations and individuals in reducing risks and preventing accidents through accessible, actionable steps.
