The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is extending an invitation to the public for participation in a series of upcoming meetings designed to discuss wildlife populations and proposed hunting seasons for fall 2024, specifically focusing on the Jackson and Pinedale regions. These meetings are part of an annual tradition held during spring, aiming to engage hunters and the general public alike in conversations about license allocations, season lengths, and other significant hunting-related proposals.
In an effort to encourage community involvement and getr feedback, the agency has scheduled two open houses in the Jackson Region. The first of these meetings is set for Wednesday, March 20, from 5 to 8 p.m., and will be hosted at the Thayne Community Center. Following closely, the second open house will occur on Thursday, March 21, also running from 5 to 8 p.m., but this time at the Jackson Game and Fish office.
These open houses represent an opportunity for local hunters, conservationists, and anyone with an interest in wildlife management to learn about the proposed hunting season plans for the upcoming year. Attendees will have the chance to review detailed proposals, ask questions, and provide their insights directly to the department’s officials. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department emphasizes the importance of public input in shaping effective and sustainable hunting regulations that balance recreational opportunities with the conservation of the state’s wildlife resources.
