Yellowstone National Park welcomed 871,163 visitors in August 2024, marking a 3% increase compared to August 2023, which saw 846,389 visitors. However, this year’s August numbers reflect a 5% decrease compared to August 2021, when the park hosted 921,844 visitors.
So far in 2024, Yellowstone has had 3,497,254 recreational visits, up 6% from the same period in 2023, which saw 3,308,924 visits. The 2024 numbers are slightly below 2021’s visitation, which reached 3,590,609 by this time.
