While the weekend’s winter storm dropped appreciable amounts of snow on the mountains of western Wyoming, the total precipitation in the drainages surrounding Jackson Hole are still at or slightly below the 30 year average.  According to the Natural Resources Conservation Service, precipitation in the Snake River Basin is 93% of average; it is 106% of average in the Yellowstone basin which includes Two Ocean Plateau and 96% of average in the Wind River Basin which includes Togwotee Pass.  Meanwhile, the water content of that precipitation is noticeably above average.  The National Weather Service is predicting snowfall will taper off through the day today and give way to mostly sunny conditions through the rest of the week.
