The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is excited to announce the launch of the 17th Annual Tin Cup Challenge, a six-week community-wide fundraiser. Starting on Friday, June 14, and running until Friday, July 26, at 5 pm, the Community Foundation will accept donations benefiting local nonprofits, with a partial match provided.
The Tin Cup Challenge aims to engage the entire community in supporting the critical work of local organizations. This inclusive event encourages individuals, families, local businesses, and organizations to come together to contribute to the betterment of the community.
Bonnie Self, Executive Director of the Community Foundation, highlights the impact of the Challenge: “The Tin Cup Challenge leverages funds raised by local nonprofits with a Match Grant from Business and Community Challengers, promoting a culture of generosity and encouraging donations to favorite nonprofits during the Giving Period.”
The event also features a one-day celebration on Saturday, July 20, from 9 AM to noon in Driggs City Park. The day includes a Competitive 5K, 10K, Fun Run/Walk, free breakfast, nonprofit booths, activities for all ages, and a complimentary T-shirt (while supplies last).
Over the past 16 years, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised over $23.6 million for Teton Valley nonprofits. Last year alone, the community raised $2.8 million, directly benefiting the entire valley.
Donors can support their favorite nonprofits during the 17th Annual Tin Cup Challenge with one transaction by donating by check, using the Donor Form in the Tin Cup brochure, or online at www.TinCupChallenge.org. The Foundation also accepts gifts of stock, wires, and donor-advised funds. Brochures will be available throughout Teton Valley and delivered to all households on June 14th.
Visit the Farmers Market booth through July 26 to donate, pick up a T-shirt, and register to run. For more information, visit www.TinCupChallenge.org.
