It may look like an impromptu drive in theater at Jackson Hole High School on June 6th, but in fact it will be the class of 2020 graduation ceremony. According to Teton County School District #1 Spokesperson Charlotte Reynolds, the district is planning to hold graduation at the Jackson Hole High School parking lot for both Jackson Hole High School and Summit Innovations on Saturday, June 6th. There will be two big screens set up, along with a stage. Students, with their families will be staged in their cars, and as students’ names are called, they will exit their vehicle, walk to the stage, accept their diploma, have photos taken and return to their family’s vehicle. Audio will be available in the manner it has been provided for JH Live as well as via the high school radio station, KJHB. This plan was developed by high school administrators and students and approved by Dr Riddell, and it provides students and families a way to participate in graduation while avoiding the tight quarters in the high school gym as is the traditional location.
