Organizers of the annual Shrine Bowl say the 47th celebration of the high school all-star football that acts as a fundraiser for Shriners Hospital has been cancelled. Executive director Frank Selby cited health risks associated with the coronavirus to players and fans. “The overall wellbeing of our communities remains on the forefront of our minds as we weather these uncertain times,” Selby said. The annual football game featuring recent high school grads dates back to 1973. Since then, the Shrine Bowl has raised more than $450,000. The 2020 Shrine Bowl was scheduled for June 13 in Casper. Jackson Broncs lineman Kevin Flores was to have participated in the game.
