5 people were taken to the hospital after a car wreck closed down Highway 20 in Eastern Idaho Saturday.
Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred at 5:00 P.M. Saturday on US20 at Milepost 364 in Fremont County.
The driver of a Subaru Legacy was travelling westbound, when he crossed the center line and struck a semi-truck heading eastbound on US20. The Subaru was occupied by a male 23-year-old driver, and 4 passengers who were all from Burley,ID.
The driver and front passenger were wearing their seatbelts but the three back passengers were not wearing their seatbelts. All occupants of the Subaru were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.
The driver of the semi-truck was a 57-year-old male from Pennsylvania. He was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.
All lanes were blocked, in both ways, for approximately 2 hours while emergency responders worked to assist occupants and clear the scene.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
