The Town of Jackson will be observing two memorial events tomorrow in remembrance of 9/11. First, at 8:00 am on the town square, Members of the public can join the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, Jackson Police Department, Teton County Sheriff’s Department and TC Emergency Services in a solemn memorial service remembering all those impacted by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Then at 6:00 pm, members of the community are invited to join emergency service responders as they climb to the top of Snow King Mountain. The elevation gain from the base of Snow King to the last switchback is approximately the same elevation gain as the il-fated World Trade Center. Participants are invited to carry a picture of a first responder who lost his or her life on 9/11 to the top of Snow King in remembrance of them. The Community Emergency Response Team bus will be parked on Snow King Avenue and cooking a meal for all who participate in the 9/11 Hill Climb.
