The Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals has announced the selection of Jackson Hole High School’s Daniel Abraham as the state’s assistant principal of the year. Each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity, and the U.S. Department of State Office of Overseas Schools may select one assistant principal to represent their state and vie for the national title of assistant principal of the year. These assistant principals are selected by their peers for the exemplary contributions they have made to the profession. From these state winners, three finalists are named as contenders for the National Assistant Principal of the Year award. The National Association of Secondary School Principals selects theperson who will wear that title from among those three finalists. The NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle level and high school assistant principals each year who have succeeded in providing high quality learning opportunities for their students.
