Spending Spring Break at home and often inside can frustrate the young members of a family As public places, including many parks and campgrounds, are closing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, organizations like Scouts BSA have posted fun age-specific projects that can be done at home and pledge to keep the ideas coming. Weather permitting, Scouts BSA suggests children can go on nature hikes around your neighborhood, develop a hobby, camp in the backyard, try out a new recipe, work in the garden or help with a home project. Registered scouts can also work on 58 merit badges offered online. Parents and their sons and daughters may wish to go online to scouting.org/coronavirus/ to scout out their ideas.
