Jackson Hole Airport has joined the effort to restock the Jackson Food Cupboard in the wake of a lackluster food drive last month. Airport Executive Director Jim Elwood says the airport administration decided to serve as a repository for donated items through the upcoming holidays. Says Elwood, “I know it seems a little odd to bring canned or non-perishable goods to the airport on your travel plans.” However, he says beginning Monday, November 12 and continuing through Wednesday, December 20th. Elwood says the food may then be placed in a basket outside the TSA screening and it will be taken from the airport to the Jackson Hole Food Cupboard. Along with the airport, other organizations throughout the valley also are working to augment the supplies of the food cupboard to help them meet the holiday demand, including local churches and the Teton County Library.
