Jackson Hole Airport is reporting an expected increase of huge proportions over April’s enplanements and deplanements over the same month last year when the COVID pandemic closed down much of the valley. However, comparing the figures to the same month in 2019, which was the most recent normal year, airport business also saw a marked increase.
During this past April, the number of people boarding flights out of the valley were up by 26% and those arriving were 20% more than April 2019. Altogether, 18,834 passengers flew out of the valley last month and 17,320 arrived at the airport. The number of flights serving the valley increased by 30% over April of 2019.
This summer, the airport is slated to welcome passengers arriving on one of seven different airlines serving 15 destinations nationwide. Those airlines coming into the valley this year include Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Sun Country, and United.
