Passenger traffic through Jackson Hole Airport has continued to increase over last year’s pace. According to the monthly report to the airport board, people arriving by air last month increased by 30% over the same month in 2020, while those catching flights out of the valley increased by 34%. Altogether, 438,509 air passengers walked through the antler arches and into the terminal so far this year, while another 458,085 met the airports TSA Agents on their ways out.
Comparing this year with the last normal year, 2019, departures were up fully 20% during October for a year-to-date increase of 10.8%. Arrivals increased by 19% in October over the same month in 2019 and up 10% year-to-date. Those figures attest to Jackson Hole Airport continuing to see the busiest year in its history. Last month, the valley continued to be served by eight commercial airlines.
