The number of airline passengers passing through Jackson Hole Airport last month saw a very significant increase over the same month last year. According to the monthly report to the airport board, there were 56% more people catching flights out of the valley last month and 59% more passengers arriving compared with May, 2018. Specifically, 19,624 people flew to the three markets served during by the six air carriers here, and 22,302 arrived through the antler arches at the terminal entrance. Those six air carriers provided 194 flights into the valley during the month. So far, 151,404 air travelers have passed through the Jackson Hole Airport during 2019 continuing the annual growth in passenger traffic. The summer schedule of flights through the airport takes effect this month with service to 12 major markets nationally, preserving the airport’s status as the busiest in the state of Wyoming.
