Alzheimer’s Association to Host Early Detection Session in Jackson Hole on Thursday

May 27, 2025 by Jackson Hole Radio

The Alzheimer’s Association Wyoming Chapter will host an educational session, “Early Detection and Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia: What You Need to Know,” on May 29, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole, located at 830 E. Hansen Ave., Jackson, Wyoming. Dr. Martha Stearn will present the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, explain the diagnostic process, and discuss new biomarker blood tests. Attendees can ask questions and learn next steps for addressing memory loss concerns for themselves or loved ones. The session is open to professionals, caregivers, and community members seeking valuable insights and resources.

Alizée Gervais, Community Engagement Manager for Western and Central Wyoming, encourages attendance to gain knowledge that can improve early detection and support. The Alzheimer’s Association offers additional resources, including a 24/7 helpline at 800-272-3900, online classes at alz.org/education, and a Community Resource Finder at alz.org/crf. For more information or to RSVP, contact Gervais at 307-201-9596 or algervais@alz.org. Details are available at alz.org/wyoming.
