With the Teton County fire danger at HIGH, make sure you are READY should a fire ignite in your area. Teton County emergency response organizations use the “Ready, Set, Go” method of helping you prepare (Ready), advising you when a hazard is present (Set), and notifying you when it’s time to evacuate (Go!). With an understanding of those terms, all residents should be registered on NIXLE which is the county’s emergency notification system to the public. If you have not already done so, go online to nixle.com and sign up. Notifications can be received via email, home phone, and cell phone to alert you not only to fire evacuations, but to severe weather, floods, civil emergencies, amber alerts and more. The service is free and could save your life.
