The U.S. District Court of Wyoming has issued a warrant for the arrest of Brian Laundrie, the fiancé of Gabrielle Petito who was found dead at the Spread Creek dispersed campground in Bridger-Teton National Forest Sunday. Laundrie and Petito were traveling to western National Parks in a van converted for camping when the 22-year-old disappeared. The search continues for Laundrie who returned home without her with no explanation. Then on September 14th, he disappeared without a trace.
The arrest warrant comes on the heels of a grand jury indictment in the case. Meanwhile, Gabrielle Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmidt, recently visited the exact site where his stepdaughter’s body was found at the campground, and placed stones in the shape of a cross and flowers on the site.
FOX News is reporting that one of the last times Gabby Petito was seen alive involved an explosive argument on August 27th between Brian Laundrie and wait staff at Merry Piglets in Jackson that was witnessed by a tourist from Louisiana. Restaurant management has confirmed the incident with the FBI.
