Astoria Park Conservancy announced yesterday that the Snake River Sporting Club has pledged to match new donations dollar-for-dollar up to $500,000 until December 15thto help them reach a goal of $6-million necessary to break ground next spring. The goal is to restore this historic hot springs park, which until the late 1990s was a favorite mineral soaking and swimming attraction on the banks of the Snake River. In addition to the matching donation offer, Café Genevieve and Orsetto Italian Eatery are donating $3 from each $33 tasting menu to Astoria Park Conservancy until December 22nd. With support from over 400 donors, the Conservancy has already raised over 80% of the $6-million goal, but still must raise approximately $1-million before December 31stto make the ground-breaking possible.
