Sheriff’s officers accompanied by members of Teton County Search and Rescue were called to the Adams Canyon area south of Jackson about 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon to recover the body of a deceased individual. Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue identified the man as 56-year-old David B McIntosh of Jackson Hole. Dr. Blue says it appears that McIntosh died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Sheriff’s Sergeant Clayton Platt says the death is currently under investigation but no criminal activity is suspected.
